The German Mine Surveyor Association (Deutscher MarkscheiderVerein e.V.) invites you to attend the XV International Congress of the ISM, to be held in Aachen, Germany, in 2013.
The Congress will serve to push forward the science and transfer of expertise in the mine surveyor' s scope of work.
Germany with its long mining tradition is the largest and most competitive European mining region with a high economic importance.
Germany's mining technology suppliers as well as its top ranked universities and research institutions with their high international reputation stand for cutting-edge technology developed for mining and post mining worldwide.
Beyond that, Germany is an important global player for research of renewable energy resources.

The Congress will take place from September 16th to September 20th 2013 in Aachen, Germany.
In Aachen, Europe is more than a mere word. Here is Europe alive! In the immediate vicinity to The Netherlands and Belgium, people are used to meet each other across the "borders" and to work in cooperation with each other.
This attitude has shaped the city and has made its people more open to others.

The themes for the Congress in 2013 will be based an the ISM Commissions:

- Environmental Planning
- Geometry of Mineral deposits/Mineral Resources Management
- Instruments, Mine Surveying Measurements, Mining Cartography
- Rock and Ground Movements, Subsidence Damages
- Economic Transformation, Sustainable Development, Land Reclamation
- New resources
Language
The official language of this congress will be English.
Exhibition
A high profile trade exhibition open to institutions and supporting services will be held simultaniously with the congress. We would be glad about many participants.
Social Events
Up to now the committee has not finalized the social programme with all its details. But of course there will be a Networking Event as well as a Gala Dinner.
